Let’s Get It On!

April 28th, 2011

DLP recently re-entered the fight game with a Pilot Shoot for FUEL TV. Shot in a warehouse in downtown LA, the scene was a really cool underground vibe for fighting! Can’t get into the details, but the show was a blast to shoot – and will hopefully be coming to a television set near you!

Such a good lookin’ crew!

CHANGING THE GAME

April 6th, 2011

DLP’s Mike Hughes headed down to Athletes’ Performance in Phoenix with Steve Mariucci to breakdown the top of this year’s NFL draft class.  Mooch and some friends, Michael Irvin, Warren Sapp, Willie McGinest and Charles Davis took some of the draft’s top prospects and put them through their paces.  With interviews, on field demonstrations and film breakdowns, Mooch analyzed what makes these guys great and what they need to do to be ready for the NFL!   The show starred several potential Top 10 picks:  Blaine Gabbert, Marcell Dareus, AJ Green and Prince Amukamara along with others.  Plus a special show featuring cancer survivor and former ACC player of the year Mark Herzlich.

Shows air Tuesday Nights @ 8ET on NFL Network!

DLP is pumped to be doing 2 projects with FUEL TV.  We’re fired up to be shooting a pilot for a fighting show in the next 2 weeks.  Can’t say a lot about the show yet, but it’s an awesome new format for fighting designed to bring only the best parts of fighting to life!

Also in the works is a new series for FUEL that’s for guys, talkin’ about guy stuff.  Not a ton we can divulge on that yet, either, but we’re currently casting for the show and it’s def going to be a blast!

Really looking forward to rollin’ on both projects and have had a blast workin’ with FUEL TV…

DLP @ Super Bowl XLV

February 11th, 2011

DLP’s Michael Hughes was back in action as a part of FOX’s presentation of Super Bowl XLV in Dallas. Sure the weather was terrible, people didn’t get to see the game, but it was a great homecoming for Michael and he was lucky enough to be a part of the most watched telecast in the history of television! 111 million people tuned in for the Super Bowl and DLP was proud to be a part of it.

Quick video of a piece done for the pre-game show. These are always hard. You never get time, you never have room, and you always hope you can try to make something out of your 15 minutes. One fun fact about this piece is that the whole thing was edited on a MacBook Pro in a hotel room with a couple of G-Raids. When it came down to edit time at the Stadium, there were a few technical difficulties, so Michael and Corey Brosius (to borrow a line from Kid Rock) “set up shot at the top of Four Seasons” and went to work.

Quick shoot, quick edit with some generally very quiet and reserved subjects (slightly low rez, better quality coming soon).
