Our FSX project is all wrapped and you’ll start seeing the opens we did on TV next month when the hockey and basketball seasons start. But we wanted to give you a little preview of some of our work. We picked one of each of our baseball, basketball and hockey opens.
Found out that we’ll be using a bunch of this footage along with some new stuff for the World Series for Fox. We’ll be doing the game 1 open and will post here when it’s done.
Our FSX project is underway and we just finished the open for the Detroit Red Wings. We used this one to experiment and see what worked best and it will now effectively be the prototype for the rest of our opens. The idea was to take you through game day from all different perspectives – the fan going to the game, people in and around the city, the players, and even the guy sharpening the skates. We’ll be doing this for every Fox Sports affiliate throughout the United States for baseball, hockey and basketball. Stay tuned.
DLP is currently undertaking one of its biggest projects to date. As part of a full network re-design, FOX Sports and FSN reached out to DLP to shoot and edit elements for a nation-wide project spanning across all FS regions in 31 cities. With only about 2 weeks of lead-time, DLP staffed up 4 teams of 2 shooters and 1 producer, and they hit the ground running across the country. Teams were dispersed to each of FS’s professional franchises capturing the essence of each city and each team in a documentary style. Using Canon 7D’s and armed with an array of lenses, our teams have been able to create the unique aspects of every city and the fans that make each team special.
FOX Sports Net regions have played a huge role in the coordination of this project and allowed us access we never thought possible. As our shoots continue and we hit the home stretch, DLP just wants to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication to a groundbreaking project that we are all very proud of.
